In IPL 2022, the injury of the players is not taking the name of stopping. Another player is out due to injury and this time the blow has hit Kolkata Knight Riders. Pat Cummins, a key member of his team, has been knocked out of the tournament. Cummins has a mild hip injury, due to which he has returned to his home, his home country, Australia.
Cummins played a key role in KKR’s victory in two matches against Mumbai Indians this season. In the first match, he scored an unbeaten 46 off 15 balls with the bat. So in the second match, the game was reversed by taking 3 wickets in a single over. In such a situation, his exit is no less than a big blow for Kolkata Knight Riders. That too at a juncture when the team is fighting the playoffs.
After being knocked out of IPL 2022, Pat Cummins will go straight to his home in Sydney, where he will rest. He is reported to be returning from the tour of Sri Lanka on the cricket field. Australia is scheduled to tour Sri Lanka next month for the ODI and Test series. Pat Cummins has been busy playing cricket for the past 18 months. In such a situation, this comfort can work as an energy drink for them.
A Rs 7.25 crore player could not even play 7 matches
For IPL 2022, Kolkata Knight Riders beat Pat Cummins for 7. I bought it for $25 million. However, he couldn’t even play 7 matches. One was initially late joined the team and then the poor form distanced him from some of the bouts. In such a situation, he could only play 5 matches for KKR this season. In these 5 matches, he took 63 runs with the bat and 7 wickets with the ball. He was the fourth most successful bowler for KKR.
Pat Cummins has also admitted that he could not give his best about his performance in the 15th season of the IPL. He said that in the first four matches, he has plundered runs at an average of 12.

When Pat Cummins recovers from an injury, he will have a tour of Sri Lanka in front of him. And, after that there will be many more big series and tournaments. After the Sri Lanka tour, Australia have to defend the T20 World Cup on home soil. After that he has to play a 5-Test series at home. Then there is the tour of India and then there is a series like the Ashes.
